Our Partners: Eric Ford, CFP®

Eric is an investment advisor and strategic money manager with WealthCare Partners. He is following in the footsteps of his father, Steve Ford, who is the founder of WealthCare Partners Ltd.

Eric currently holds FINRA series 7 & 66 licenses in addition to his life, health and variable insurance license. He achieved his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification in 2010. He earned his bachelors degree in business administration from Taylor University; graduating Cum Laude and a member of the Dean’s List.
Working together with Steve, Eric helps direct day-to-day management of WealthCare Partners as well as consulting with clients regarding investment and tax planning, wealth strategies, and overall personal financial well being.

Eric was born in Indianapolis, Indiana to Steve and Marsha Ford. He has called the Westside of Indianapolis home his entire life. Eric grew up in the Wayne Township School System, attended Ben Davis High School, and was a three year letter winner on the Men’s Basketball Team. He began his career out of college at MassMutual Financial Group, a national firm. In 2007, Eric joined forces with Steve and has since played a key role in the growth of the firm.

Eric has always been quite the sports enthusiast. He earned a full-ride athletic scholarship to play basketball at Taylor University. Before graduating Taylor, he left a mark on the basketball record books. He finished his career as the 3rd All-Time leading scorer in Taylor history. Eric also holds the record for the most 3-pointers made in school history and in his sophomore and senior year he was named the Conference Player of the Year in the MCC.

Along with the school records, Eric also showed his leadership skills by leading his team to 4 consecutive National Tournament appearances. While playing on the national level, Eric was recognized for his abilites and was named a 3-time All-American and in his senior year he became the first player in Taylor history to be named 1st team All-American.

Eric continues to stay active in sports by competing in basketball and softball leagues, as well as being an avid golfer. He also enjoys traveling and spending time doing family activities. Eric has been married to his wife, Ashley, since 2007. Ashley is a hair stylist at Cass & Co. Salon in Avon, IN. In August 2011 their family expanded to three with the addition of a baby boy, Crew Ford. They reside in Brownsburg.

Eric also understands the importance of serving others outside of work as he is an active member of Westlake Community Church of God. He participates on the church softball team, helps run the men’s basktball program and has run basketball skill camps for kids K-6. Eric is supportive of his community and a well-rounded person who understands the importance of taking control of your future.
